PDNSW Armidale – Principal Contractor for HVAC and Lighting

The two storey Armidale office building with a basement carpark and rooftop plantroom currently occupied by multiple Government agencies. The project aims to enhance the building’s infrastructure by upgrading lighting, electrical, and mechanical systems, including the installation of a new Building Management System (BMS) and fire system enhancements.
Key tasks involve the removal of outdated systems, the installation of new ductwork, and the implementation of advanced lighting controls and safety features. The building’s mechanical system had previously been converted from a variable volume system with AHUs located in the rooftop plantroom and on floor VAVs to a VRV air-cooled system.
A scope of works has been created to complete remedial works of the existing system. These works are to resolve both design and installation issues and form the Stage 1 scope of works.
In addition, the ceiling and associated building services will be replaced. The mechanical services will be upgraded with new diffusers and relocations to suit the new ceiling layout. These works will form the Stage 2 scope of works.
