Home port infrastructure

The Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) and Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) Home Port Infrastructure provides berthing, permanent maintenance and systems support facilities for the new ships at Garden Island. Works were carried out for the System Program Office (SPO) and Through Life Support Facility (TLSF), Garden Island Naval Base.

The scope of works included:

• mechanical works

• central thermal plant

• air handling plant

• air conditioning plant

• ventilation plant

• ductwork and associated systems

• pipework systems

• noise and vibration control systems

• water treatment systems.
